Grammy award winning rapper Rhymefest, who is known for his collaborations with Kanye West and hits such as Brand New, attended the House of Commons and met with leader of the Conservative party David Cameron on Thursday 19th October 2006.
The meeting came about following on from the huge debate stirred by David Cameron in June this year where he voiced that hip hop culture was responsible for violence on the streets. In response to this, Rhymefest submitted a letter to Cameron voicing his views on the debate; the fact that not all hip hop condones violence and that there are artists out there that promote the good in youth such as Rhymefest himself, Common, Kanye West and Estelle to name a few.
