Is my handset supported?
For Premium SMS purchases, using the 80809 SMS number, you must check your handset compatibility here before ordering. Please ensure your handset is WAP compatible and that your WAP service is activated.

How do I connect my phone to the Internet?
To visit a WAP Site you need to use the internet browser on your mobile phone. How this is done depends on the make and model of your handset, please check your user manual or contact your service provider (Vodafone, O2, Orange...) for help in setting this up.

Why can't I send the ringtones/wallpapers I download to my other phone?
All content is protected to prevent it from being shared with others. This is to preserve the rights of the music artist.

How much it costs in WAP data charges to download content?
Your service provider may also make a charge for the data you download (this includes data downloaded to browse WAPsites). Sample prices as of February 2006 are;

• Vodafone UK Pay Monthly: £2 per Mb - Typical Ringtone(150kb): 30p
  Pre-Pay: £7.30 per Mb -Typical Ringtone(150kb): £1.10
• Orange UK Pay Monthly: £2 per Mb - Typical Ringtone(150kb): 30p
• T-Mobile UK Pay Monthly: £7.50 per Mb - Typical Ringtone(150kb): £1.13
• O2 UK Pay Monthly: £3 per Mb - Typical Ringtone(150kb): 45p
• 3 UK Browsing is Free

Where can I get information about a shortcode?
ICSTIS is the UK Premium Rate services regulator. You can use their Number Checker to trace the owner of any Premium Rate number.

How can I pay on a Sony BMG WAP Site?
This answer is not applicable to purchases made using the 80809 Premium SMS number.
Payments can be made on your phone bill, by premium SMS, Credit Card or PayPal through the Bango mobile payment gateway.

To pay on your phone bill
If agreements are in place with your mobile opertaor you will be given the option to pay on your phone bill.

For contract customers the payment will appear on your next bill. For Pre-Pay users the payment will be deducted from your credit.

To pay by Premium SMS
When paying by premium SMS you will initally just charge your bango account with credit. You will need to return to the WAPsite and use the 'Buy Now' link for the content you would like to buy. You can check the balance of your Bango account by visiting http://bango.net on your mobile phone and select My Options.

To pay by PayPal
To setup PayPal billing you need to follow the procedure below; Visit http://bango.net on your mobile phone, select My Options and make note of the 'Fingerprint' number shown. Then visit http://bango.com/woc/paypal/ on your computer and enter the Fingerprint number in the box given. You will then go through an authorisation process to link your PayPal account to your mobile phone number.

How much do text messages cost?
Sending an SMS text message to 82088 (UK Only) or +447797806763 will be charged at your standard opertaor rate.
The 80809 number is a Premium SMS number (UK Only), it should only be used to purchase ringtones, wallpapers, audio or video where specified. To send a message to 80809 is charged at your standard network rate, but our reply to you may cost up to £3.

Is there a monthly charge?
Sony BMG do NOT run any subscription services, there are no monthly fees.

How do I bookmark a WAP Site on my phone?
Whilst using any Sony BMG WAPsite you can add a bookmark by selecting the 'Bookmark', 'Add bookmark' or 'Favourites' option from your phone's menu. In future, simply select the bookmark from your 'Bookmarks'/'Favourites' menu. For further help with bookmarking, consult your mobile's user manual.

Licence
The sale of any ringtone or logo made pursuant to these terms and conditions shall comprise a perpetual non-exclusive licence to use the ringtone or logo on the single mobile phone to which it is transmitted and for no other purpose whatsoever.

Compatibility
It is the customer's responsibility to provide the correct mobile phone number and to ensure that the phone is compatible before ordering. The list of compatible phones provided on the website is a guideline only.

Re-sending
Ringtones can be re-downloaded upto 3 times on the handset used to make the purchase only. In addition if you send a repeat SMS request for the same content to the 80809 number you will be provided with the link to the content again for FREE once. Any subsequent requests will be recharged at the advertisted rate.We reserve the right to withdraw this service to customers.

Refunds
Due to the nature of the products, once a ringtone, wallpaper, audio or video sent cannot be returned, we do not offer refunds. Please ensure your handset is supported before purchase.

We cannot accept liability for any loss or damage caused by our service. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
