Manic Street Preachers release 'Indian Summer' on 1st October 2007. The third single to be lifted from their Gold selling , eighth studio album, 'Send Away The Tigers'. The new single, described by Nicky Wire as "a minor chord companion to 'A Design For Life' will be available over three different formats: 2 track CD, Maxi CD and 7" and features brand new songs including 'Heyday Of The Blood', 'You Know It's Going to Hurt', 'Lady Lazurus' and 'Anorexic-rodin'.
Following the album's release in May of this year the band have enjoyed a number two single 'Your Love Alone Is Not Enough' featuring the vocals of Nina Persson of The Cardigans and more recently 'Autumnsong' entered the top ten in the charts. Earlier this year they completed a sold out 23 date tour of the UK playing to over 40,000 fans. Reviews of the new album and that tour have heralded the band's enthusiasm and energy and claimed the Manics to be back performing better than ever and delivering on their promise of
"Springsteenesque long sets, working class rage, make-up and dumb punk fun".
A 9 date tour was announced for December kicking off in Aberdeen and taking in Cardiff's International Arena, Manchester's Central and two nights at London's Brixton Academy.
"The triumphant comeback of the year" (NME 8/10)
